Passel Farms has appointed Jeff Hardie as Chief Financial Officer to help advance its mission of supporting family farms, sustainable agriculture, and thriving local communities. With deep financial expertise and a passion for animal agriculture, Hardie is set to help lead the company’s next chapter of growth and operational success beginning May 27, 2025.
Hardie shares his thoughts on joining the leadership team:
“I am honored and humbled to be joining such a fantastic team,” said Hardie. “I am excited to return to a role that helps feed the world and it is great to do so with a company with such strong values and vision.”
Hardie joins Passel Farms from Feed Energy, where he has served as CFO since 2021, overseeing financial strategy, compliance, and capital planning for the Iowa-based nutrition company. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Fremont Farms, Iowa’s largest commercial egg producer, where he played a key role in guiding the company through major expansion. Hardie has also served as CFO at Hy-Line North America and Hy-Line International, a leader in the global poultry business.
With earlier roles at Ernst & Young, Sprint, and Principal Financial Group, Hardie brings a rare blend of large-enterprise insight and hands-on leadership within growth-driven agricultural companies. He holds an MBA from Drake University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
“Jeff brings financial leadership, a track record of advancing excellence in organizations, and a sincere passion for agriculture and livestock production that makes him an ideal fit for Passel Farms,” said Pat Joyce, CEO of Passel Farms. “We’re excited to welcome him to the team and confident his expertise will help position our business for long-term success.”
Passel Farms looks forward to welcoming Hardie to its leadership team and is confident his expertise will help strengthen the company’s financial foundation and advance strategies to drive operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
