Partners in Focused Value Creation
Passel Farms prioritizes the relationship with farm lessors and growers who want more than a contract. We bring operational experience, clear communication, and a long-term commitment to shared success.
Do you have facilities, land, or assets that could support pork production?
We work with growers and farm lessors who value stable partnerships and growers who share our commitment to animal care, biosecurity, continuous improvement, and are willing to advance and evolve with industry and consumer demands. If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
Stability. Experience. Partnership.
We’re the combination of two established, respected operations (Standard Nutrition Company and Cactus Family Farms) with decades of combined experience. That means financial stability, experienced leadership, and a commitment to supporting our growers through market cycles.
When you grow with Passel Farms, you're partnering with an integrated operation built for the long haul. We're backed by strong ownership, invest in integrated production and processing assets, and we operate with a values-driven culture focused on integrity, accountability, and trust.
General Requirements for New Contract Growers
We're actively seeking partnerships with experienced growers who operate high-quality finishing and wean-to-finish facilities. Our current focus includes:
Preferred Facility Sizes
1,200 to 5,000-head wean-to-finish barns
1,200 to 5,000-head finishing barns
Minimum Facility Standards
Fully slatted floors
Power or power/natural ventilation
No on-site rendering
Biosecure entry
Located at least one mile from any non-Passel Farms swine
We're focused on specific growth regions, but we're always interested in learning about strong partnerships across our footprint. If your facility meets our standards and you're committed to excellence in animal care and biosecurity, let's talk.
We know you've been in this business long enough to know what matters. Here's what we hear most often from lessors and growers evaluating a partnership with Passel Farms—and our answers.
What Experienced Growers Want To Know
-
Our rates are competitive with industry standards based on geography and facility type.

-
Passel Farms was formed in 2024 through the combination of Standard Nutrition Company's pork production investments (representing continuity in assets, people and operation for the past 25 years), and the acquisition of Cactus Family Farms. We operate a 60,000-sow farrow-to-finish system across six states, with a direct ownership stake in Wholestone Farms for processing access.
We're not a startup—we're the evolution of two established, successful operations. We're built for long-term stability and focused on supporting our growers through market cycles.
-
Our wean-to-finish managers work closely with growers to provide day-to-day support, training, and problem-solving. We prioritize responsive communication. For urgent issues, you have direct access to your wean-to-finish manager and production leadership.
We believe in partnership, not transactions. That means open communication, transparency, and working alongside you to solve problems as they come up.
-
Our wean-to-finish managers (WFM) have extensive experience in pork production and are supported by a strong leadership team. We prioritize stability in our relationships with growers, which means we're intentional about building long-term teams in each region.
We understand that consistency matters—your WFM is your primary point of contact, and we work hard to maintain those relationships. If changes do occur, we communicate early and ensure a smooth transition.
-
We work with facilities that meet our biosecurity and operational standards (see "General Requirements" section above). If your barn meets those standards, we don't require major upgrades to sign a contract.
If upgrades are needed to meet biosecurity or animal welfare requirements, we'll have a transparent conversation about what's necessary and work with you to find a practical solution. We're not in the business of making partnerships financially unfeasible.
-
Contract terms vary based on facility age, type, location, and location. Typical contracts range from new facilities with 10+ year agreements down to multi-year agreements based on grower requests. Opportunities for renewal are based on performance and mutual interest.
For specifics on what a contract would look like for your operation, contact our Wean-to-Finish Coordinator.
-
Our wean-to-finish managers work closely with growers to monitor herd health, provide training on best care practices, and coordinate with our internal veterinary team when issues arise. We prioritize biosecurity and proactive health management to keep your operation running smoothly.
